An error is encountered when assigning MAPIOBJECT to RDOSession object’s property, because of which Exchange Central (EC) cannot connect to Outlook to retrieve Outlook profile list when launching EC. This is also true in Options/Outlook Connection.
The issue can be seen in EC log:
Windows Fall Creators Update deleted some registry keys responsible for the MAPI objects’ marshalling.
You can employ one of the following solutions:
- Reinstall Outlook (uninstall and install Outlook again)
- Use a .REG file (attached to this KB) to restore the missing MAPI entries.
