Cannot send emails after changing RTS Service Endpoint

 

Symptom

After changing RealTime Service Endpoint in Resource Central Basic Parameter, emails cannot be sent.

If you check in the Mails table of the database, the following message appears in the SMTPErrorMessage column:

Cause

Resource Central Sync Service has not been informed of the new RTS Service Endpoint, and it still uses the old RealTime Service Endpoint → Emails cannot be sent.

 

Resolution

To ensure emails are sent with the correct setup:

  • Make sure that RealTime Service Endpoint in Resource Central Basic Parameter matches with setup in RealTime Service.
  • Restart the Resource Central Sync Service after changing the RealTime Service Endpoint in Resource Central Basic Parameter.
