Symptom
In Reservation Directory mode, Digital Sign Client displays the following message: "Reservation Directory only works with template version 4.3.6 or higher. Please upgrade your template to a compatible version."
Cause
When your Digital Sign Client version requires template version 4.3.6 or higher which is not supported by your current server, you may encounter this issue.
Resolution
When managing versions of DS Service and Digital Sign Client, it is crucial to follow the correct upgrade sequence to ensure compatibility and proper functionality. To resolve this issue, you need to upgrade your server to a version that supports template version 4.3.6 or higher. Must be DS Service version 4.03.71.0001 Hotfix 22 or newer. This will ensure that the Digital Sign Client functions correctly without displaying the error message.
Note: Once the compatible server is upgraded as mentioned above, user does NOT need to go back to the Device Properties to re-assign template.
