Introduction
The European Union is increasing the protection of the fundamental right to privacy for every EU resident with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will be effective from May 25, 2018. EU residents will now have enhanced rights on what, how, why, where, and when their personal data is used or disposed of. This rule clarifies how the EU personal data laws apply even beyond the borders of the EU. Any organization that works with EU residents' personal data in any manner, irrespective of location, has obligations to protect the data.
Resource Central
Resource Central is based on Microsoft Exchange and Outlook and will adhere to Microsoft’s relevant GDPR settings. Resource Central however enhances the meeting capabilities on top of what is handled by Outlook. Resource Central can currently be configured as GDPR compliant by skilled database professionals.
Currently initiated activities
- Enhancing data portability and transferability functionality.
- Creating standard GDPR supporting tools for customers to use.
- Creating guides on how to perform GDPR actions for current releases.
